NOT a Book Review: a Tale of Crestfallen - FloLady Ochie

Eh? How come it's not a book review, Prima? Because the book is too good to be reviewed!

Gak kerasa udah dua kali saya kerja bareng Kak Ochie, dan kedua kalinya selalu unforgettable. Kak Ochie buat saya adalah seseorang yang unik - sangat terbuka DAN misterius sekaligus. But most important thing is, she is a very inspiring person. Tidak hanya dipercaya Ubud Writers & Readers Festival sebagai Volunteers Coordinator a.k.a 'emaknya anak-anak' sejak tahun 2010; tapi Kak Ochie sendiri juga punya sekolah bahasa Indonesia bernama Cinta Bahasa di Ubud, Bali.

Surely she is a writer herself. Dan ketika Kak Ochie bikin buku, ga tanggung-tanggung, bukunya sangat menghibur - ga cuma rasa tapi juga mata #gimanatuh Coba aja intip foto-foto diatas. Keren banget kan? Bukunya pun dibuat dengan kertas khusus, hampir menyerupai kertas daur ulang.

Terus isi bukunya sendiri gimana? Kalau kata Kak Ochie di pembukaannya, "this is neither a poetry book nor a beautiful collection of rhymes." TAPI bukunya sangat 'kaya' lho. Saya banyak belajar tentang kehidupan dari baris-baris kalimatnya. Tentang menjadi perempuan - yang bangkit dari semua pedih yang teralami. Tentang menjadi sahabat. Tentang mencintai dan patah hati.

Dibawah ini beberapa kalimat yang saya sukai:

"What keeps her happy might hurt her so deeply."

"After a while, some people could only care about winning the battle, they just forgot what they were fighting for,"

"Sxiinner replied to her, "Your pain doesn't stay in the place you left it. It goes with you.""

"You're telling me nothing can beat you, but I wonder why you keep yourself so busy."

"But she has made her choice. it's not absolute yet it's subtle. This is her current road. To dress up her every pain. It might not be pretty, but she has wrapped herself, tightly inside the flowery sins. Her only comfort."

Penasaran kan, tentang cerita-nya Crestfallen? So why don't you contact Kak Ochie yourself to ask more about the book? ;)

Lots of love,
Prima
